Metro Music Therapy was founded in late 2007 and is headquartered in Atlanta, GA. We provide professional music therapy services in the metro Atlanta, GA and Orlando, FL areas, and also offer recreation therapy and life skills coaching services to veterans and wounded warriors in the metro Atlanta area.

Mallory Even, LPMT, MT-BC
Owner & Director
Mallory Even, Owner of Metro Music Therapy, is originally from the Orlando, FL area, and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy from the Florida State University. For two years before starting her practice, and for three years after, Mallory also worked as a music therapist in an adult and geriatric inpatient psychiatric unit located in Snellville, GA.
Sam Shanine, LPMT, MT-BC
Assistant Director
Sam is originally from the metro Atlanta area and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy with a minor in Creative Music Media from Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville, GA. He completed his internship in Milledgeville at the Life Enrichment Center where he served adults with developmental disabilities.
Laura Lenz, LPMT, MT-BC
Clinical Director
Laura is a transplanted Yankee, having grown up in Massachusetts and then ventured down south to the University of Miami in 1985. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy in 1989 and is proficient on flute, guitar, vocals and piano.
Garrett Vaughn, CTRS
Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist
Garrett is originally from the small town of Starr, South Carolina and has recently relocated to Atlanta following his graduation from Clemson University. Garrett graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism management with a concentration in recreational therapy. He completed his clinical internship at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC spending his time as a recreational therapist on their acquired brain injury unit.
Jaclyn Ford, MT-BC
Music Therapist
Jaclyn comes from Northeast Ohio, having earned her Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy from Baldwin Wallace University. The Cleveland area provided her many opportunities to expand her knowledge and practice of music therapy. While in Cleveland, Jaclyn also performed on piano at various events in the area.
