Mallory Even, the founder of Metro Music Therapy, hails from Orlando, FL, and holds a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Music Therapy from Florida State University. After completing her music therapy internship with Leon County Public Schools in Tallahassee, she moved to the Atlanta, GA area with her husband. Mallory worked as a music therapist in an adult and geriatric inpatient psychiatric unit in Snellville, GA, for a total of five years. Her primary instrument is the French horn, and she is also skilled in guitar and voice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mallory holds certifications as a Music Therapist-Board Certified (MT-BC), Licensed Professional Music Therapist (LPMT), and a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Music Therapist (NICU MT).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Since establishing Metro Music Therapy in late 2007, Mallory has initiated music therapy programs across various specialized schools and healthcare settings throughout the Metro Atlanta area. In response to the diverse needs of her community, she opened Studio PTC in Peachtree Corners, a music lessons studio for learners of all abilities. With the advent of COVID-19 in March 2020, her team quickly transitioned to providing telehealth services to both existing and new clients worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In collaboration with Wellspring International, Mallory developed a grant-funded music therapy initiative called \u201cSongs of Hope.\u201d This program serves hospice patients and their families, children dealing with grief and loss, and refugees in the Atlanta area. Since its inception, Songs of Hope has entered its sixth year as of late 2020 and has delivered over 1,600 music therapy sessions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In December 2020, Mallory completed the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program. This selective program, which she attended on a full scholarship, focuses on enhancing business performance across various domains, including leadership and operations management. The curriculum is taught by leading academics and seasoned business professionals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Beyond her professional achievements, Mallory is deeply involved in her community. She is an active worship leader at her church, volunteers with the PTA and her children\u2019s swim team, and co-leads her daughter’s Girl Scout troop. Moreover, Mallory is the President of the Board of Music Therapy of the Rockies, a non-profit that conducts Songwriting Retreats for Veterans with PTSD.
